November is National Adoption Month
I can not believe it is November and during this month, we recognize adoption regardless if its domestic or international. I know that our lives are forever changed because of adoption and we are just waiting. I can only dream about LynnMarie coming home. If you are new to this blog, Michael and I are adopting a little girl from China. We have officially been waiting for 6 months but have been on this journey for over a year. 5 years ago, I thought adoption was just a wonderful thing to do and now it is etched in my heart. I hope that if you have thought about adoption at one time, you will take the next step and get information.Talk to your spouse. Pray about it. Its hard to take that first step, but I hope you will. Please pray for families who are currently waiting for their precious babies
If you are adopting or have been touched by adoption or are just a reader I ask that you de-lurk and post a message on this blog. Please leave your LID with your message. For new readers LID is your log in date or when China logged in your paperwork into its system.
On another note, if you are in the Atlanta area, I would like to invite you to First Friday this coming Friday at North Metro Church at 7pm. This is a wonderful place to learn about China adoption, meet people who have been there done there and just find support. Families who are thinking about adoption, currently waiting and families are home will be attending. There are also families who have adopted from other countries. If you have any questions, I hope you will come.

Hi Amy,
Not only is November National Adoption Month it is also the month that our adoption of Isabella from Ukraine became final. We will celebrate "gotcha day" on November 15th. I can't believe how fast the last 4 years have gone by and how much I enjoy being Bell'a mom.
We adopted a sibling group of two boys from foster care. They were placed March 2005, and were officially adopted September 2006.
We adopted Sophie from China in March 2005. She has been such a joy in our lives! In 2 days time we'll have been waiting a year for our second China blessing. Our LID is Nov. 3, 2006.
November is MY month !! Come over and see why Amy !!!!
**hugs**
It's amazing how adoption becomes such a part of who you are... It really is a miracle! Look forward to seeing you at FF.
We have two little miracles running around our house thanks to adoption! Yeah for adoption!
Still hoping the adoption process
will soon pick up speed! Have a
great night!

Learning all the time!
Lucky you - that First Friday thing sounds really great!
What a great post!!!!
We to have been so touched by adoption and we don't even have our daughter home yet. We never imagined how our lives would be changed just by starting this process.
Have a great weekend!!
We are humbled and blessed to be chosen as Chloe's parents. Our adoption experience was one of the most thrilling times of our lives.

We were LID for Francesca Mei on 2/24/05 & our Gotcha Day was 11/8/05! As you know, she is the love of our life! (our agency was GWCA)
For Sofia (Chinese name as her middle), we are LID 4/20/07 & currently submitted our MCL on 10/22/07! According to CCAI, we should hear something within the next 8-10 months! That means we could be traveling by the beginning of 2009!
Hey Amy
We should all be reminded this month of how we were adopted by Christ. If we understand this, it makes "the wait" for our sweet children worth every month that goes by. We adopted our precious MiMi in Aug. 03 and are LID in Aug. 07 for Hope! Got our LID the same day we got MiMi 4 years ago! Wow, God has a great sense of humor! Thanks for the post about FF, see you tonight!
Praying for a speed up in China and praying for all of those children in the orphanages waiting for their mommy's and daddy's.

Great blog! And congratulations! My niece was adopted 10 years ago and I just don't know what I would do if she weren't in our family. She's a precious gift and I love her sooo much! I was adopted by my father about 32 years ago. I truly believe that each adopted child was picked especially by God for their Mom's and Dad's! Congrats again on your sweet little girl! Amazing the gifts from God, yes?
Today is our Gotcha Day!! Kinda cool we got S.G. in the month of November (Adoption Awareness Month).

We're sad that we missed FF. I am hoping that you'll post about it??? hint, hint
Our adoption of Claire is about more than traveling to China to pick up a daughter. It has built a heart for adoption. It is a calling that we are grateful for.
I saw your posts at the shower yesterday. I am curious about the Christmas card exchange, sounds fun!
Smiles! :o)
