Holidays and Dreams

As our first holidays since we were logged in are approaching, its made the think and hope and dream.
I wonder what it will be like to have LynnMarie running around while we make dinner and I wonder if she will enjoy the Macy's Thanksgiving parade as much as her mom does. I wonder if I will be able to help create memories that will last her a lifetime. I hope she likes to decorate the Christmas tree and listen to Christmas music way in advance.
I can't help but wonder what Thanksgiving and Christmas will be like in the future. Each holiday that passes I will think of LynnMarie and I will wonder when she will be home and will hope that it is sooner than later.

While we were waiting for our girls, we bought a special ornament and hung it at the top of the tree. Now, when they hang their ornaments each year, we talk about waiting for them and how we celebrated them at Christmas before they were even born..

We also save the "Baby's first Christmas" for when they get home.

Isn't it fun to make wonderful memories, even during the wait?

LynnMarie will share your love of the Christmas holidays I am sure of it!!!

Those days will come and they will be even more wonderful than you can imagine. I'm sitting here with spicy girl right now watching The Wizard of Oz...for the first time. I can't tell you how many times I watched it as a child. Those days will come Amy, and you will make the most wonderful memories with Lynnmarie.

Our turn will come... at the 'East Meets West Conference' they say that there is a backlog (which we know) and that things will most likely speed up 2008... not what I wanted to hear but at least it is something... there is 2,000 dossiers per month - 600 - 700 babies per month - 13 countries participating - 200 orphanages open throughout China to Int Adoption and it takes 7 months to get the babies ready... and Domestic Adoption is on the rise in China... of course all this is not written in stone but it is nice to actually hear reasons why... at least that is what I think...

Amy,

I love the Macy's parade too. It has become a tradition that Bella and I watch it and we have hot cocoa in the fancy cups with whip cream and gingerbread cookies. We are already talking about it. I'm sure you will have the same kind of fun with your little one.
