So what do you think

Since turning in our MCC (medical condition checklist) in June, I have had some great conversations. A lot of people are asking, "what do you think you will get?" or "Do you have a gut feeling about a special need?"

I have one friend who really thinks LynnMarie will have a cleft condition. Now, to me that would make sense since i have been working with cleft children for almost 7 years. I have no idea what she will have. We checked off A LOT of conditions. If I had to ask, I think she will have a cleft lip or palate or some type of ortho problem We will see.

I guess it kind of like when you are pregnant and you wonder what color hair will she have or if she will have hair at all..

On a serious note, the phone rang this week and had the 303 area code and said Colorado. My heart rate went up only to get a call from a furniture store. That was sooooo not cool!

Amy,

I was wondering if you would like to swap squishes. If so just send me your info and I will mail it out to you. Talking about the 303 area code. My husband received an email last week from CCAI and he did the same thing he said that his heart dropped. Christy Steele

I DO really feel like LynnMarie will be cleft affected, but who knows?! God has been known to throw a few curve balls at me before ;) I just pray that God will send you the perfect child at the perfect time.

Glad to hear you survived your trial run phone call.

Amy whatever medical condition that LynnMarie has will be taylored made for you to take care of. What I am trying to say is that even though it might be a "medical condition", she is going to be your perfect daughter, and she will have the perfect parents to take care of her and love her. And another thing I must say that I love her name.

Love and blessings, Kristy LYNN (hehe)

p.s. The other day I had some big news, when you get a chance hop on over to see what it was, I just wanted to share it with everyone.

Funny I always thought we would find a clef, but our agency called and said "We have a 2yr old with a VSD/ASD are you interested?"

and I knew that was our Emily :)

Hi Amy...that 303 phone call is just wrong...doesn't that furniture store know that you are waitig for another 303 area code to call...

As for the MCC, we revised ours in May 2008 and added "mega colon and constipation" to the written in area (and took off a few thing as well) and we were told by the WC dept with our agency that they never got children with our age range requested dx with a mega colon (and in fact mega colons are few and far between)...well I guess they are eating their words right now (and I am so glad I didn't listen to them) because a month later, we got the phone call for our daughter Annabelle who was at the time 14 months and dx with a mega colon. We are currently waiting on TA as I am posting this. I thought for sure that when the phone rang on that early evening of June 27th and they told us that we were matched, it was with a child with a CL/CP...because of what I was told a month early...never dreaming it would bea child with a mega colon (just as her sister Francesca has been dx with since 18 months old). You just never know what God has planned for us...Hope you guys hear something soon....

That really stinks. I know how much hearts can skip a beat when that phone rings. However, it always comes when you least expect it.
