the post that follows

So how does one follow up on a post like the one below?? Michael did a great job sharing our story.

As far as I know, this blog will stay the same as of right now. After referral, I guess my mind went into momma thinking and I contemplated how much we will be put on here.

We are in love. Yes to each other and to this sweet baby.

I wanted to share my thoughts on this. Getting LynnMarie's referral was far better than I had ever dreamed of. She has a story. Her referral has a story. From the time I read about her for the first time, God orchestrated events and literally opened doors in front of me the night before Thanksgiving. I do not exaggerate. I could have hear him saying "Hello Amy, Im right here, Could I be any clearer?" For those of you a part of that night and the week that followed, you rock and will always have a place in our hearts. You were more than amazing.

God showed Himself in my house that Wed before Thanksgiving. That is all it could be. I can not explain it but it was far more than I could have dreamed. Over the past few weeks, I have had some fears, some doubts but then those doors close and I have reassurances right in front of me. I can now say that LynnMarie Chun Ai is a Christopher. She is a part of the Waiting Child Program and hopefully next post I will share some of her needs with you.

We love her already. I am totally mentally and emotionally overwhelmed. I have no idea what I am doing but thats what my friends are here for.

Thanks for all of your wonderful comments below. I will be printing them in putting it in her first of many books.

I love the one with her hand in the air. She is saying ROCK ON! Definitely our daughter!!!!

Enjoy the ride - it does get crazy. It is a very surreal moment when you see your little one's face. Wait till you get her in your arms. An unbelieveable moment.

She is a beauty.

Somehow even in the waiting child program, these children "fit" just right into their families. It is amazing.

God knows what He's doing in all this. . .[and in our case, it seems the matching process at the CCAA...but that was probably God too]. ;-)

I'm so excited for you guys. She is completely precious and sooo cute!!

You will have so many more incredible, life altering experiences throughout this process. It's all so beautiful.

Yes, God is good!! He truly had his hands on our adoption from it taking a year to open Terry's heart to adoption to the day we received our referral of Tiana. It's amazing how if we are open to God and trust him things just fall into place! He obviously had her picked out for you - enjoy the time to come, each and every minute!

Hugs,
Carla

Amy,
I know those "doors"...we experienced similar times during our referral phase with MK. The right people were placed in just the right places and at just the right times to say just the things we needed to hear...God was surely the orchestrator. From referral day to Gotcha Day, we focused so much on learning about MK's need and prepared ourselves for the unknowns. Then, that magical day came and quite honestly it was the most overwhelming experience of it all...being her mother became real, she was ours. Now MK's need is the "backseat", if you will, to her place in our family....she is a perfect fit and we love her for just being her and we love her SN for playing that huge role in bringing her into our family. We wish you the best of luck and can't wait to meet her one day soon.

Congratulations on your referral! Your daughter is beautiful. I hope that you will be able to travel to her quickly. There is no feeling in the world like having a waited for child placed in your arms. You'llknow this very soon and, don't worry, everything else will fall into place!

Oh how this post brings back memories for me. I could have written it back in 2007 ~ or I think something very close! God literally walked me to Mia Hope and guided me through all of our doubts and fears...it was and is amazing. It will all be alright and you and your husband and daughter will make it through together - so very happy for you...now let me watch your daughters video (now that's even better than the surprise photos I got while waiting for Mia!!)
