another step

Hello again. After reading my yahoo groups, many referrals have been received today. that means that many families are going to be growing in the next 2-3 months. We completed another step today. I ran to the doctors office tot get a letter stating that Michael's health will not threaten his ability to parent. Now, we are waiting for our friends get their recommendations and send them in. After that, hopefully we will be approved and will be able to go to the next orientation!

Sure, Michael's health won't affect it, but what about your mental health?

I kid! Y'all are great! Glad the steps are leading up!

Orientation is an interesting part of the journey. I don't know how your agency does it (China only or a mixed group) but it is neat to be able to see some of the people that you might be traveling with to get your baby. Does your agency have anything in it's program to help you get to know the people in your travel group? I wish that our agency did.

Each little step forward counts! Let us know how orientation goes - it's such a scary process that it's always good to find some buddies in the same stage you're in!

I am so excited for you. I have a great friend that adopted a little girl from China 13 years ago. It was a real miracle story as the adpotion process was closed at that time. She is in one of the pictures on my blog. We know alot of other families who have adopted internationally, some are in my daughters class at school and others are younger. Everyone has been such a positive experience. Good luck!
