You will notice a new blogroll to the side. These are adoption stories I am using to pray for and be encouraged by.
On another note, at the beginning of our journey, we were given many ideas on how to pass the time on this long wait.
One of the ideas was to read parenting books but I have no idea where to even begin? Do you have any suggestions?
Not much more to update. We have our First Friday this week and as always, we are excited to be going.

I would recommend parenting books with a focus on adoption. Check Amazon and enter "Adoption" as a search parameter and you will find a lot.
These are favorites of ours:
Becoming a Family : Promoting Healthy Attachments with Your Adopted Child (Paperback)
by Lark Eshleman
Adoption Parenting:
Creating a Toolbox, Building Connections
Edited by Jean MacLeod and Sheena Macrae

Lots of great adoption books out there if you search on adoption on amazon.com. The one that has helped us the most has nothing to do with adoption. Our social worker made it required reading so you may already know about it. "Parenting with Love and Logic" by Foster W. Cline and Jim Fay. They actually do a whole series and I highly recommend them.
I just finished up To Train up a Child. What an inspiring book on discipline. I could use all fo the help that I can :)

seconding the "Love & Logic" nomination.
