the day before LynnMarie

Can you believe this is my first official post in China? Crazy I tell you. Soooo very glad Michael posted yesterday..what a very sweet post.

So many emotions and thoughts that i have not even attempted to try to put anything down. Its amazing to think we are in the same time zone as LynnMarie.

We are having a blast. We may have the best travel group ever. There is another family who will be getting their first child, and she is also at Swallows Nest.

Our guides Oscar and Barbara have cracked us up and we will miss them when we leave. Tomorrow we meet our babies. Can you believe this part of the great adventure is almost over? I have enjoyed sharing our adoption story and listening to others.

China is AMAZING. Its full of culture and is just beautiful. It has been a very very smooth trip so far. We have been eating our dinners at the hotel and look forward to new opportunities. In just a few hours, we will be in LynnMarie's province.

It really is crazy to think that we will be parents in 28 hours. We have been promised lots of advice and help from our group, which is really nice. We love this little girl soooo much, we are just ready to get to know her.

Its been a very emotional couple of days. We were at the Forbidden City when a gentleman with no hands came up asking for money. it was very heartbreaking. Lots of sad things here. Lots of different things here. I am enjoying watching the people, watching families with their babies. Beijing is pretty cool. By the way, yesterday we got to visit a 7 star bathroom, ask me about that later. I still cant believe we saw the Great Wall and the Olympic village.

this post is soooo not in order, nor will the other ones be. My brain is all over the place as i try to grasp the idea that after an almost 7 year wait, I become a mother tomorrow. Fear, joy, anticipation, faith. I know that God rock and I can not wait to see our sweet baby.

We were able to buy a piece of jade for her yesterday. That was pretty cool.

jet lag was pretty non existent for us. We adjusted very well.

So, I ask for your prayers. I assume we will be getting our kids about 9pm Sunday night United States time. i promise to post pics and available video, but our priority will be getting to know sweet girl so I dont know when we will have those up!

Amy and Mike, I remember the anticipation as Don and I waited to meet Joanna Mei on July 14th, just 8 months ago. When we saw her for the first time it almost took our breath away. You and Mike are going to be incredible parents to LynnMarie. Now the adventure begins!

Oh Amy please don't worry about your brain being all over the place! It is as it should be a mom's brain!!! This is a classic symptom of being a first time mom and you are so ready! Your brain will never be the same again! You will be forgetful and grateful and so full of love it is going to be such an amazing, crazy, beautiful journey for you! I have read Michael's blogs and wow have they brought me to tears. You guys are going to be such amazing parents! Praying for you and your trip. Please don't hesitate to contact me for any questions if I can be of help at all! My firstborn will be 17 this month and my second is only 2.
God bless you three!

We can't wait to see you all together; it is so special to be in China and become parents with other families.
We were doing the same thing only on 09/16/08, seeing AA for the first time. You bring our memories back.
Take it slow, lots of hugs sent your way. Can't wait for the photos!
