Trip Part 3

We slept well last night and both adjusted to the time change without any major issues. We crashed about 8pm local time and woke at 6:30 to get ready for breakfast and touring. We are taking many pictures and we will start posting them ASAP but we are currently having power issues in our room and are writing this in the business center.

Today we visited the Forbidden City and saw Tianimin Square. We also toured a "traditional" Chinese home with a courtyard and well that families owned about 50-60 years ago and finally we stopped at a silk factory and store and at a porcelin factory and store. Beautiful things, as I said, pictures to come.

A special shout out to LynnMarie on her 1st Birthday today and also one to God for the ease of transition to the new time zone and that my foot which has been bugging me for weeks was fine today.

Tonight we are going to a Chinese Acrobatic show and tomorrow is the trip to the Great Wall. Sunday morning we fly to the Henan province and face a sleepless night before we get our sweet baby!

Amy says to tell Kim Perry she was right. As soon as Amy got on the plane to Beijing, the stress disappeared.

We love you all and will keep you updated as power and technology allow!

I got choked up reading this! I'm so excited for you both & your journey is so encouraging so keep the posts coming as you can! SO GLAD to hear of the smooth time change transition & the faded stress after boarding the plane! I'll count on that! This means I have about 2 more months of the stress! (ha!)
Praying for the three of you!

What an amazing journey. It sounds like you guys had more time in Beijing than we did. Your trip sounds so much more relaxed, I felt like we were running a mile a minute from the time we touched down.

I am so happy that your foot is better Amy! All that walking would not have been fun - yeah!

Glad you are stress-free! I keep thinking about you guys.

Hugs, Kiy
