whats in a blog name

The title of this blog When Love Takes You In is based on a song by Steven Curtis Chapman. Most of you have heard the song but I will post it again when I get home from work.

What a beautiful phrase that reflects exactly how I feel. I chose this name for our adoption blog because it was a moment at a concert that the desire to adopt started to grow in our hearts. Later I realized that God planted a seed many many years ago. I hope I am okay in using a name of a song for my blog. Gods plans for us are so better than mine will ever be. Why can't I just be patient?

So, its a song title,so what? Well its much more than that. I started thinking about that today before work. Its quite hard to explain but i will try. Adoption is such an awesome thing and I just in the waiting stage. Those of you in this process know that, we have shared that before.

We love LynnMarie. Yes, I know she isnt born yet, but I know I love her.I think about her all the time. I think about the day we meet her and those first pictures. I think about that first giggle and those sweet feet. How wonderful those times will be.

Love has taken us in. Its amazing. Our daughter has us wrapped around her finger already. I think about the days ahead and what life will be like. There are so many emotions ahead of us and I get so excited when I think about all that is to come. There is a love I have for her that I can not describe. I love to pray for her. I love to think about what God has in store for her and for us as her parents. Years ago I never would have considered adoption and now I can not imagine not being in the place I am in now.

This is such a special time for us. Its exciting to think about our family and what it will be like. Will there be other children, whether biological or adopted? I don't know. I can not wait to find out. I wish I could describe how I feel about these words. When Love Takes You in. I feel like love has really wrapped its arms around us and has pulled us completely in . I am completely consumed with unconditional love for this little girl who is not even born yet. This blog has been so helpful for me.

I am not the best with written words. I have so many thoughts in my head but can not seem to get them down. I will be starting a journal for LynnMarie and that will be private. Its something I can do for her now, and that makes my heart smile.

I am thankful for friends and family who are going through this journey with us. I love to hear how excited people are when we bring LynnMarie up. She will be loved. She is loved. She is thought about. She is prayed for.

When Love Takes You In by S.C Chapman
I know you’ve heard the stories
But they all sound too good to be true
You’ve heard about a place called home
But there doesn’t seem to be one for you
So one more night you cry yourself to sleep
And drift off to a distant dream

Where love takes you in and everything changes
A miracle starts with the beat of a heart
When love takes you home and says you belong here
The loneliness ends and a new life begins
When love takes you in

And somewhere while you’re sleeping
Someone else is dreaming too
Counting down the days until
They hold you close and say I love you
And like the rain that falls into the sea
In a moment what has been is lost in what will be

When love takes you in everything changes
A miracle starts with the beat of a heart

And this love will never let you go
There is nothing that could ever
cause this love to lose its hold

When love takes you in everything changes
A miracle starts with the beat of a heart
When love takes you home and says you belong here
The loneliness ends and a new life begins
When love takes you in it takes you in for good
When love takes you in

It's so fun to think about our babies. The wait is a pain yes, but waiting is in our plan I guess. So what you hold on to is the love. I love the song btw. I get teary whenever I hear it. Although that is not hard to do.
