I spent some time talking tonight with some coworker about adoption. They had questions.. Their age, infertility, costs, risks, spouses. A lot of questions. Some I could not answer but I hope they find their own.
6 years I ago I would never have thought we would be on this journey. Now, here we are awaiting our LID and we will start preparing our home and ourselves for this amazing experience. My family thinks this blogging thing has been good for me. Its easier for me to write my thoughts on here than to share them with people.
I was able to visit a patient and family who I took care of in December. Their child is from China. HE will face many surgeries. This family gave me hope and encouragement then and now.
I do feel like my friends and family are on this journey with us. I have felt peace that can only be from my Heavenly Father and for that I am eternally grateful!
Exciting stuff is going to happen, SOON! We will come up with a name, start our quilt (for those who are not familiar with it, details to soon follow), get our home ready, and learn more our daughter's origin. Thats a lot of stuff. It could get overwhelming. I hope so!

Yes, we will have our lives turned upside down in the most delightful way :0)
It is a crazy, wild ride! I am going to see it through to the end, though because what a wonderful gift is waiting at the end.
Enjoy the ride.
Couldn't have said it better- nothing like being overwhelmed with all things about your future daughter! I'm glad I found your blog, I'll be anxious to hear of her name, see her room, and that beautiful quilt!
Let me know when you are ready to exchange quilt square and I'll get one right out to you.
You have such a positive and bright outlook! I am hoping to start the quilt soon as well. I'm a little behind on that. I guess I don't know where to start! Congratulations on being DTC! I hope you hear of a LID soon!
Blessings!!!
This has been an amazing experience
for us as well. We decided after our
first grandchild was born that we wanted another baby so we met with
our agency and started this long but
wonderful journey!
Take care and have a wonderful weekend!

You have so many things to look forward to. Enjoy the journey!
It is going to be an exciting journey! Sounds like you are planning on keeping busy, which is the perfect thing to do!
International adoption terms are new to me, and I'm now looking into it as a possibility for us as well. What does LID stand for?
I'm excited for your progress!
God Bless!
That is wonderful news! Thanks for visiting my blog -- plan to come back here to see how this goes. :)
