Thursday

I went window shopping, remember? Well....I actually shopped!

First off I went to a thrift store and just looked around. I ended up going back at the end of the day to find matching vases because I wanted to make a countdown to LynnMarie. Someone on one of my yahoo groups did this and I loved the idea. I bought 2 vases and colorful marbles. I counted 516 marbles (thats the amount of LIDs left until our LID) and placed them in one of the vases. Each month I will take the number of LIDS and take those marbles and add them to the other vase as a visual countdown. I am not creative at all but I think they are cute!! I found great stickers at a discount Scrapbook store in Kennesaw. I had a whole bag of stuff for 6 bucks!!!!

So after that, I went to Marshall's and Ross to just look and noticed a store I had not been in. Its in the Marshall's Shopping Center and its called Tadpoles.
Its addicting. Its a very well organized children's clothing store that is a consignment store that sells new things as well! They have handmade hairbows and books! I will be having fun here! Now, do you think that LynnMarie got anything? Well, yeah she did!

Look what I found? It is so cute. It came with the dress, a diaper cover thing, a hat and shoe covers. It still had tags on it and what did I pay? $4.98!!! Yippeee!!! I saw the sign that said if there is something you see that you like you had better buy it because it will be gone next time! Well, it sounded like a rule to me so I had to obey!!!

Oh no- you have opened the flood gates!! I hope you have a big closet ready for LynnMarie :) I love Tadpoles-especially the $1 and half price racks. I go in there about once a week because I eat at Rusan's next door once a week. We should do lunch one day. Love the marble idea. What a great visual. I hope to see those marbles growing in the empty vase soon.

I just love the marble idea. I think I may just have to copy if you don't mind.

I hope those marbles move move more quickly than anticipated!

Enjoy shopping for LynnMarie. It is fun isn't it?! Dreaming, hoping and believing are such fun things!

Very cute outfit! I hope you see your baby's face before you turn 35 as well. I gotta tell you...from someone who started in 2/05 and was logged in 20+ months...you might never forget the wait, but the feeling you have when you see that precious face is like nothing you can imagine!

OK, like the rest of the readers, I am planning on doing the same countdown now with my kids. However, I am trying to figure out the amount of marbles. Do I just count the number of days between the No. 21, 2005 date and the date of my LID in order to get the number? Somehow I keep coming up with 508 but that is less than ours and I have a little later LID so I am confused.... Any wisdom you would like to impart on my calculating????

Amy - I love your vases! Gladthe idea worked for you. (I needed lids on my jars 'cause my cats were fascinated with the stones.)

Now that you have opened the "shopping door" it is very hard to close it!! Soon you will be just like the rest of us with a full closet and very little room for anything else!!

Hope you are having a good weekend!

First of all, I love that vase idea. It is wonderful. I think it may really be good for our children.
Secondly, I love that cherry dress. When I was little I used to have cherry dresses. I have already bought a similar one for Sophia.

Ok, the cherry outfit is precious. We spent some time shopping today and S.G.'s grandmother got her a cherry outfit for school and cherry pajamas.

What a creative idea for your referral countdown. I'm sure it's gotta be hard waiting. I know it is for me and I've only been waiting about 8 months and it already seems like forever.

Now that you've bought something you won't be able to stop yourself from buying anything else. Since we've requested a girl age 12-24 months I have bought some things but nothing smaller than a 2T. And I'm trying to really restrain myself but it's not easy.
